The Magick Pot |

Sometimes when I am meandering in Home Depot and get outside to the plants and pots...oh my! I am so amazed at the wonderful artistry of those potters....people who can take simple clay and make such wonderful lovely pots. Sometimes I am drawn to a ceramic pot and don't know why. Perhaps the colour, or the shapes and decoration...the form the potter gave the clay....I am not sure....once I purchased a 5 pound ceramic pot because it was an exact replica of a tree trunk....and today I have my prized 20+ year old philodendron in it! I think she has always liked her special present Next time you are drawn to a pot, if your budget can stand it, obtain it....plant your little special plant in it and watch it grow. Another use of a ceramic pot is for home protection or health of self, pet or anything or anyone you wish to assist. Select a ceramic pot. I always go with what strikes me most and what I can afford. I do not feel it is necessary to follow the strict colour correspondence of blue for this and red for that. In this magickal craft the person's intuition is best. Once you have your special pot, obtain some soil. Not a lot, but enough to fill the pot about half way. Obtain multicoloured stones....those little ones you can pick up at the same location where you obtained the ceramic pot. Not a lot are needed, just enough to fill up the rest of the pot to the top. Obtain a crystal whose properties are best suited for the work at hand. In this it is a good idea to double check those properties before obtaining the crystal. However, if it is an emergency, and you are not certain, a clear quartz crystal should be sufficient to cover all needs, as quartz purifes, cleans and extends. You now have:
Cleanse and purify your pot...easiest method is to wipe fresh lemon juice or a lemon wedge over the entire pot and then rinse under water. Dry and set aside. Empower and cleanse your crystal. The lemon is good and you can also further empower and cleanse the crystal by placing it outside under direct sunlight or moonlight for at least 8 hours. Cleanse and purify those little multicoloured stones by sprinkling some lemon juice over them and soaking in some clear water. Allow to dry. Now with your cleansed pot, take the soil and add some soil until you have reached half way. Take the empowered crystal and knocking three times on it with your knuckles, awaken the spirit of the crystal and say a simple spell: SAMPLE: "Numen/spirit
of this stone Now, using your fingers, make a small hole in the soil...halfway down to the bottom of the pot and bury the crystal there, making sure the soil covers it well. Now add the little multi-coloured stones to the top. Place your magic and charged pot anywhere you wish. This pot is considered active for the remainder of your life...if the ceramic breaks and the soil spills out, recover the crystal and repeat the process. Always though, look at the crystal to make sure that the ceramic breakage was actually an accident and not the crystal's way of meeting a challenge and "dying" as a result. If your crystal feels cold or is cracked, odds are that the ceramic pot did not break as an accident. Honour the numen of the crystal by placing on your altar and creating a new pot with a new crystal. If however, the pot is broken as a "real" accident, and if the crystal is not damaged, you can replace the pot and repeat the procedure using the same crystal as it is still alive.
